LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's swimming and diving season is underway as four of the league's seven teams have a meet under their belts.

In an early dual involving SCAC squads, McMurry picked up a home victory with a 108-66 win over University of the Ozarks on Sept. 28. The War Hawks earned victories in both relays (the 200 free and 200 medley) and picked up individual wins from Jessica Gryder (100 free, 200 IM), Abigail Swaim (100 fly), Molly Herrera (500 free) and Madelaine Smith (100 breast). Rosie Wade (1000 free and 100 back) was a double-winner for the Eagles and teammates Shalley Coffin (200 free) and Catherine Wellborn (50 free) also picked up victories.

Ozarks was back in the pool this past weekend with a home dual against Hendrix where the Eagles dropped a 157-40 decision to the Warriors. The Eagle women took first place honors in the 200 free relay and Rosie Wade won the 1650 free.

Colorado College took on Southwestern on Saturday in the Tigers first home dual against a conference opponent since 2016 and the Tigers earned the 173-118 victory over the visiting Pirates.

CC won the 200 free relay and picked up individual victories from six different student-athletes - including double wins by Kate Brush (200 free, 500 free), Jio Chang (100 fly, 200 fly) and Peyton Classon (1-meter and 3-meter board). Ana Mashek (1000 free), Clara Sato (50 free) and Millie Benkert (200 back) also earned wins.

For Southwestern, the Pirates won the 200 medley relay and had two swimmers double up with victories: Emma Frey (100 free, 100 back) and Rehgan Hartsell (100 breast, 200 IM). Natalie Gierat (200 breast) also picked up an individual win.

A day earlier, Colorado College opened its season with the Big Cat Relays at Schlessman Natatorium against Colorado School of Mines and Truman State University.
