LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Week three of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's Swimming and Diving season continued with five teams hitting the water over the weekend.
University of the Ozarks and McMurry competed at the Hendrix College Relays on Friday where the Eagles placed third and the War Hawks finished fourth.
The next day both teams also competed at the Hendrix College Classic where they were joined by conference opponents Austin College and Centenary. Freshman Brooke Le led the Roos' to a fourth-place finish after earning fourth place in the 50 free with a time of 26:00. The Ladies earned fifth place after freshmen Brianna Serret, Kayling Swoboda, Lindsay Strohm and junior Jessi Jordan secured a team victory in the 400 medley relay.
At the meet, University of Ozarks placed sixth while McMurry placed seventh.
On Saturday, Trinity hosted UT-Permian Basin in a duel-meet where it won 173-107. Freshman Morgan Reyna led the Tigers with individual wins in the 50 free (24.91) and 100 fly (59.31) as well as a team win in the 400 free relay with teammates Jadyn Trahan, Star Rosales and Mabel Fowler. Fowler also won the 200 back in 20:03.57. Senior Ivy Claflin earned victories in the 200 fly (2:18.40) and 400 IM (4:55.92) and freshman Mary Doyal finished the 1650 free in 18:46.34 to win the race. From the boards, freshman Katarina Partalas secured more highlights winning the 1-meter (290.50) and 3-meter events (202.50).
The women's swimming and diving schedule continues this week highlighted by a pair of conference dual meets on Saturday hosted by Austin College and Centenary.
