SCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Recap - Week Eleven

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- A pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's swimming and diving programs concluded their regular season in the pool over the weekend.

Southwestern competed in a dual with Division II opponent UT-Permian Basin on Saturday where it won 122-88. Sophomore Rehgan Hartsell took the 200 IM in 2:15.07 and freshman Jesse Stovall earned a victory in the 100 free finishing in 54.07. Hartsell proved to be a triple-winner, also winning the 200 medley relay, teaming-up with Stovall, senior Cara Chin and freshman Ashley Harmon to complete the race in 1:51.41 and the 800 free relay with junior Brielle Adolph and freshmen Catherine Hiebel and Natalie Gierat to finish in 8:23.75. Sophomore Kyla Gorman also chipped in with wins on both the 1- (167.93) and 3-meter (166.73) boards to help lift the Pirates over the Falcons. 

Trinity also competed on Saturday in a dual with Birmingham Southern were it was defeated. The Tigers were led by sophomore Mabel Fowler who edged opponents in the 100 (58.74) and 200 (2:04.54) back. Freshman Morgan Reyna took the 100 free while senior classmates Ivy Claflin and Paige Johnson posted top-times in the 200 (2:16.49) and 100 fly (1:00.59), respectively. Fowler, Johnson, Reyna and freshman Meghan Magill also were victorious in the 800 free relay finishing in 7:52.03. Trinity also took gold on the 1-meter board with sophomore Bella Peters topping opponents with a score of 233.55.

SCAC women's swimming and diving action concludes on Saturday when University of the Ozarks takes on Henderson State in a dual.
