SCAC Women's Swimming & Diving Recap - Week Nine

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Only two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's swimming and diving teams competed last week.

The Austin College 'Roos fell to Lawrence University 95-34 on Wednesday as the team participated in the Venice Fun in the Sun Classic during the team's winter training trip to Sarasota.

Sophie Garriga won the 50 backstroke during the meet, coming in with a time of 32.19, and added a second place finish in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 38.44. She also swam the 100 individual medley in a time of 1:13.57, good for second place. Garriga added a third place finish in the 50 butterfly with a time of 30.61, and teamed with Jennifer Liang, Mandi Sarembock, and Matea Stanisic to place third in the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:15.59.

The Colorado College Tigers took down NCAA Division II Western State over the weekend, improving to 6-2 on the season. The Tigers held a 162-136 advantage in the meet, led by a pair of wins from Justina Zuckerman and Mary Rose Donahue.

Zuckerman captured the 50- and 100- freestyle races for the second straight meet with times of 25.41 and 54.94 seconds. She also anchored the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams that finished second.
 
Donahue, meanwhile, won both diving events, while sophomore Riley Wadehra finished second in both.
