Trinity's Hagmann, Mrkonich Earn Honorable Mention All-America

SHENANDOAH, Texas- Trinity University women's swimmer Lindsay Hagmann and diver Sarah Kate Mrkonich earned Honorable Mention All-America accolades Wednesday at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships.

Hagmann won the consolation title of the 50-yard freestyle with a ninth-place finish. She set a new school and SCAC record with her time of 23.29 seconds. The Tiger junior qualified for the consolation event with a time of 23.45 seconds in the morning preliminaries, which earned her an 9th-place finish.

Sarah Kate Mrkonich placed 11th in 3-meter diving with a score of 422.80, while senior Mollie Patzke finished 22nd on the high board.

Jacob Hurrell-Zitelman came in at #31 in the men's 500-yard freestyle during the preliminary round.

Jacob Hurrell-Zitelman will swim the men's 400-yard individual medley, and Lindsay Hagmann is set for the 200-yard freestyle on Thursday. The preliminaries start at 10:00 a.m., and the finals are slated for 6:00 p.m.

Sarah Kate Mrkonich and Mollie Patzke will compete Friday in the women's 1-meter diving event.
