Five SCAC Swimming & Diving Programs Earn Scholar All-America Honors from CSCAA

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released the Scholar All-America teams for spring 2015, with a record 406 collegiate swimming and diving programs earning the honor, including three women’s and two men’s Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference teams.

Colorado College had both teams earn the honor for the second semester in a row. The women posted a GPA of 3.67, third among all Division III women’s swimming & diving programs, improving over their fall 2014 GPA of 3.51. The CC men hold a 3.52 GPA, fourth among all Division III men’s swimming & diving programs.

Trinity University also placed both the men’s and women’s team on the list. The women earned the honor for the third semester in a row, posting a 3.50 GPA, improving 0.10 over their fall 2014 average. Trinity’s men were named to the list after posting a 3.03 GPA. This is their first time on the list since spring 2013.

Southwestern University’s women’s swimming & diving program rounded out the SCAC teams, earning recognition for the eighth consecutive semester, posting a 3.41 GPA.

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the spring semester.
