Trinity Trio Selected CSCAA Scholar All-Americans

EVANSTON, Ill. - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America recently announced its 2013 Scholar All-America Team and three Trinity University women's divers earned positions on the squad.

Ruth Hahn, Ashley Heline and Katie Sheldon were each selected to the exclusive team and were the only SCAC student-athletes - men or women - who earned First Team recognition. Women's Scholar AA Team

The Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, for the semester or cumulative average, and have qualified for their respective national championship. The award is presented in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).

Nicole Fazio, Olivia Dilorati and Meghan Gillespie of Colorado College, along with Melanie Gustafson, Jennifer Ince, Madison Kahler, Ana Price and Leah Selznick of Trinity University were selected as Honorable Mention Scholar All-Americans. The Honorable Mention Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers, who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, for the semester or cumulative average, and have achieved a "B" time standard, but have not qualified to compete in their respective national championship. The award is presented in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
