Trinity women win sixth straight SCAC Swimming & Diving Championships

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trinity University Tigers women won their sixth consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championship Saturday. Official championships website

The Tigers won the meet with 865 points, outdistancing runner-up Centre College, with 789. Trinity has captured nine team titles overall.

Trinity's men finished as runners-up, with a score of  769. DePauw won the men's championship, scoring 916 points.  

Sophomore Haley Emerick of Portland, Texas (Gregory-Portland), was named SCAC Female Diver of the Meet for the second straight year. Emerick set SCAC records in winning the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.

The Tracy Caulkins Competition Pool at the Centennial Sportsplex was the site of the championship event. NCAA Division III selections will be made in early March..
