Callie Brame, Texas Lutheran University, Offensive Player of the Week (Week 5)

CALLIE BRAME OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, September 23rd through Sunday, September 29th. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 5)

Brame led TLU to a 2-1 week including non-conference wins over conference opponents, Southwestern, 3-1, on Friday and Schreiner, 2-0, on Sunday. In the win over the Pirates, Brame opened the scoring in their two-goal victory and then finished the week with an assist on the insurance marker in the Bulldogs shutout win over the Mountaineers. She finished the week with three points on one goal and one assist to bring her season total to five (1G, 3A), tied for 13th in the SCAC.  
 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore midfielder Caila Baldwin of Centenary scored her first-career goal to give the Ladies a 1-0 lead in their 1-1 tie last Wednesday against Wiley University as she found the net in the ninth minute. First year forward Emma Payne of Concordia netted her first collegiate goal, the game-winner in the Tornados’ 2-0 win over Nelson University last Tuesday. Senior forward Matiana Cancino of Schriner led the Mountaineers offensive effort in a tough loss to TLU on Sunday in their final contest before opening SCAC play this weekend.
