HANNA KHAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year forward from Southlake, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Tuesday, September 6th through Sunday, September 11th. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 2)
Khan scored her second goal of the season in the 80th minute to lift Trinity past Schreiner, 1-0, in the SCAC opener for both squads last Friday. She finished the weekend with four shots, including three shots on goal. Khan is now tied for second in the SCAC with two goals on the year and third in the league with five total points.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore midfielder Emily McCoy of St. Thomas scored the lone goal for the Celts in a tough 3-1 loss to Sul Ross St. last week. McCoy then earned a start against McMurry and finished with three shots in a 0-0 draw. On the week, McCoy fired five shots with four on target.
