EMMA EVERTS OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from Parker, Colo., has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Tuesday, September 6th through Sunday, September 11th. SCAC Women's Soccer Release (Week 2)
Everts played 170 minutes over the weekend and played a pivotal role in the Trinity defense recording two shutout wins. The Tigers opened conference play last Friday with a 1-0 win over Schreiner before knocking off non-conference foe Chapman, 2-0, on Sunday. Everts stopped several scoring opportunities and made key passes to set up scoring chances on the counter attack. In total, Everts and the Trinity defense limited its opponents to just 13 shots last weekend and just three total on target.
