KAITY WARD OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior midfielder from Phoenix, Ariz., has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, April 4th.  

Ward punched in four goals across Trinity’s home SCAC matchups with St. Thomas and Texas Lutheran last week, which led to victories of 10-0 and 3-1, respectively. She scored twice in both contests; netting Saturday’s game-winner leads the Tigers with eight goals through five games played. In total, Ward finished with nine points on four goals and one assist last week. 

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman defender Dajia Campbell of Austin College scored the game-winning goal to deliver the 'Roos their first victory of the year last weekend in a 1-0 win over Schreiner. Sophomore midfielder Alyssa Mencacci of Dallas scored her second-straight game-winning goal in the Crusaders 1-0 win over St. Thomas last Thursday. Senior forward Maya Fuller of Southwestern was credited with the game-winning assist to secure the Pirates third-straight victory and bank three important points in the standings after defeating Centenary 1-0 last weekend.
