
MOLLY SHERIDAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore forward from St. Louis, Mo., has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, March 7th.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior midfielder Gabby McDonald of Centenary scored the long goal in the Ladies’ 1-0 victory last Saturday against Austin College. McDonald broke the scoreless tie in the 28th minute with a brilliant strike from 35 yards out that found the back of the net. Freshman forward Avery Seaman of Dallas scored her second goal of the season in the Crusaders 3-2 loss to Texas Lutheran last Sunday. Sophomore Sydney Kattawar of Southwestern scored her first goal of the season in a 4-2 loss to Trinity last Sunday. At the time, the goal tied the game a 1-1 in the second half off a direct kick. Freshman Nani Sanchez of Texas Lutheran scored the game-winner for the Bulldogs in the 80th minute as TLU rallied from two different deficits to earn three important points in the standings.
