
MIGUI BOLDRIN OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior midfielder from Ribeiaro, Brazil, has been named the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Monday, September 2nd.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Lina Cruz of Austin College scored a pair of goals over the weekend helping to lead the ‘Roos to a perfect 2-0 start with wins over Wis.-Superior and Louisiana College. Cruz scored twice in a 3-1 win over the Yellowjackets and registered two more shots in the win over LC. Senior defender Romie Reyna of Southwestern scored the overtime winner last Sunday in a designated non-conference matchup against St. Thomas. The win improved Southwestern to 2-0, the first unblemished record through two games for the first time since 2010. Senior defender Bailey Nimtz of Texas Lutheran scored on a penalty kick in the 63rd minute to lift the Bulldogs to a 1-0 non-conference win Friday over St. Thomas last Friday. Sophomore midfielder Madison Horner of Trinity led the Tigers to a pair of home victories to start off the 2019 season. Horner made the most of her only two shots in the opening game of the year against East Texas Baptist on Friday night, scoring two goals and notching the eventual game-winner.
