EMILY ROGERS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a sophomore defender from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Thursday, September 1 through Sunday, September 4.
Rogers anchored a defense that posted
consecutive shutouts to open the 2011 season against Schreiner and
Southwest (N.M.). Rogers also chipped in on the
offensive end recording four shots (two on goal), a goal and an
assist. In the Lady Crusaders' most recent game, a 1-0 road victory
against University of the Southwest (N.M.), she totaled three shots
(three on goal).
