LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Trinity (13-1-1, 12-0-0) clinched its fifth-consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer regular season title last week and in doing so wrapped up the top-seed for the 2018 conference tournament as well. In total four of the six tournament bids have been claimed heading into the final week of the regular season.

Trinity secured the top spot following a shutout victory over Schreiner (4-9-2, 3-8-1) on Friday night. The Tigers have now scored 63 goals in conference play on the year, marking the third consecutive season 60 or more goals.  

Southwestern (8-5-0, 6-3-0) punched its ticket into the SCAC Tournament with an important, 3-0, win on the road against Dallas (3-8-3, 2-6-2) on Sunday. Southwestern now has seven shutouts on the year and since the start of the 2010 season, the Pirates have five seasons where they have produced seven or more shutouts.

Centenary (9-5-0, 6-5-0) snapped a two-game conference slide to clinch a spot in the league tournament following a 2-1 overtime victory at Johnson & Wales (6-7-0, 5-6-0). The Ladies' nine wins overall and six in SCAC play both mark program bests since joining the league back in the 2012 season.

Texas Lutheran (6-5-3, 5-4-2) was the final team to claim a bid into the conference tournament after earning two points in a pair of road matches over the weekend. TLU played Dallas to a scoreless draw on Friday and then closed out the weekend with a 2-2 tie against Austin College (0-11-1, 0-7-1).

Schreiner, Dallas and Austin College will battle it out for the two remaining spots and the right to compete at the conference tournament.

The regular season concludes this week as all eight teams are in action with every point becoming critical as the 2018 SCAC Tournament is set to begin on November 2nd. The complete tournament bracket will be available following the conclusion of Sunday's matches.
