LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. –- Headed by tournament MVPs Chelsea Cole and Lindsey Peng of Trinity University, the conference office today announced the 2018 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Soccer All-Tournament team. Official Championship Website
Trinity defeated Southwestern University, 1-0, to win its 10th consecutive SCAC Championship. For the Tigers, the win represented the program's 23rd SCAC title – tying with Trinity men's tennis for the most team titles for a single program in league history.
Cole, who was named Tournament Offensive MVP, scored the only goal of the championship match (her third of the tournament), to provide the game-winner for Trinity. Peng, who garnered Defensive MVP honors, and the Tiger defense recorded two shutouts on the weekend and yielded just six total shots in two games.
Trinity had a league-high five players earn all-Tournament recognition, followed by Southwestern with three selections. The University of Dallas had two selections and Texas Lutheran University had one honoree.
