Trinity's Kelly Named D3soccer.com All-American

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Trinity University senior midfielder Julia Kelly has earned another postseason award, this time from D3soccer.com.

Kelly earned second-team All-America honors after helping the Tigers to their ninth straight SCAC title and the team's 23rd NCAA tournament berth. The Team finished 19-2-0 this season, with another perfect record in conference play.

Earlier in the postseason, Kelly was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America second First Team and the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team. She was also tabbed as the SCAC Defensive Player of the Year, after sparking a stout Tiger defense that allowed just six goals to go with 17 total shutouts. She also fired in 13 goals during the season, which was third on the team this season.

With her second All-American honor this year, Kelly earns the 57th such award for a women's soccer player in the SCAC.
