
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- After a 3-0 week and outscoring opponents 15-1, Trinity University women's soccer remains at No. 3 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) coaches poll.
Trinity is also ranked No. 1 in the West Region poll from the NSCAA, and No. 4 nationally in the D3soccer.com ranking. Southwestern University jumped into the regional rankings for the first time this season.
Trinity had a dominant week, defeating the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Austin College Centenary College. They began the week with a 3-1 victory over UMHB, then followed it up with a pair of shutouts in conference play.
The Tigers are currently ranked fourth in the nation, averaging 4.63 goals per game, while they are allowing just 0.37 goals against -- 20th in Division III.
Trinity faces Southwestern on Friday night, before a rematch of last year's women's soccer championship with Texas Lutheran University.
