Trinity Women's Soccer Ranked No. 1/2 in National Polls

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and the D3soccer.com rankings came out this week and Trinity University women’s soccer remains near the top.

The Tigers held onto the No. 1/2 spots in the rankings this week after defeating Schreiner University 2-1 in double overtime. This victory completed their undefeated conference season and extended their conference unbeaten streak to 72 games.

Trinity remains the top-ranked team in the NSCAA’s West Region rankings as well.

The Tigers will look to earn a seventh consecutive SCAC tournament title this weekend as they head to the University of Dallas for the 2015 SCAC Women’s Soccer Championship.

Trinity, led by Head Coach Lance Key, has posted an unbeaten record of 17-0-1 this season. They have allowed just three goals the entire season, while posting 71 of their own. The Tigers have the nation’s fourth ranked defense, allowing just .163 goals per game, while they score 3.94 on average, ninth-best in the nation.

This weekend, Trinity will face off against the winner of the quarterfinal game between Southwestern University and the University of Dallas.
