Trinity Remains No. 1/2 in National Polls

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The latest NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer national polls came out Tuesday and Trinity University women’s soccer earned No. 1/2 rankings.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) gave Trinity the No. 2 spot, which remained the same from last week. The Tigers are still holding onto the No. 1 spot in the D3soccer.com poll, earning 15 first-place votes.

Trinity defeated Southwestern University and Texas Lutheran University last weekend, earning 7-0 and 4-0 wins, respectively.

These marked the 12th and 13th consecutive shutouts for the Tigers, moving their season total to 15 clean sheets.

The Trinity defense has remained almost perfect, only allowing two goals on the season, with their last coming against Schreiner University on September 15.

The Tigers will face off against Schreiner this weekend in their final regular season conference match. Trinity has secured the top seed for the upcoming SCAC Women’s Soccer Tournament at the University of Dallas and will play their first match on November 7.
