Trinity Women's Soccer Ranked No. 1 in National Polls

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Trinity University women’s soccer program took over the top spot in the national rankings this week.

The Tigers, previously ranked No. 2 by D3soccer.com and No. 3 by the National Soccer Coaches Association, are the new No. 1 in both polls after another successful week.

Trinity has not allowed a goal by their opponents in over 800 minutes of play, with the last one coming in the SCAC opener on September 15 by Schreiner University. During that same time period, the Tigers have outscored the opposition 40-0.

The Tigers currently hold a 0.15 goal-against-average, allowing just two goals this season.

Julia Camp currently leads the team with 10 goals, followed by Hannah Hommel with five. Jordan Leeper dished out a conference leading six assists, followed by Hommel with five and teammates Brigitte Taylor and Colleen Markey with four and three, respectively.

The Tigers will face off against Centenary College and Austin College this weekend. In their meeting earlier this season, Trinity defeated the Ladies by a score of 11-0 and the ‘Roos 5-0.
