Trinity Women's Soccer Ranked No. 2/3 in Latest Polls

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Trinity University women’s soccer remained ahead in the polls this week, coming in at No. 2 and 3 in the D3soccer.com and National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) rankings, respectively.

Trinity (9-0-1, 4-0) didn’t make any moves in the NSCAA poll, remaining as the third-ranked team, while they fell one spot in the D3soccer.com list.

The Tigers had a successful week, defeating non-conference opponent University of Mary Hardin-Baylor early in the week, 3-0, before dominating at home against conference opponents Austin College and Centenary College, outscoring opponents 16-0 in the two matches.

Trinity has allowed just two goals through 10 games, just a 0.22 goals-against-average. They are currently averaging 27.7 shots and 3.1 goals per game. The Tigers have posted seven shutouts on the season.

In the West Regional rankings, Trinity remains atop the list, while Texas Lutheran University (7-0-1, 3-0-1 SCAC) entered the list at No. 10.

Texas Lutheran is just behind Trinity in GAA, allowing just 0.24, while they are scoring 2.1 goals per game, the second best mark in the conference.

Trinity and Texas Lutheran will both put their undefeated records on the line Friday as they face off in San Antonio.
