After 110 minutes of scoreless play, Southwestern came through with five successful PKs to advance to Saturday's semifinal round.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Southwestern outshot Dallas 26-12, including a 13-5 advantage on shots on goal. 
  • Southwestern held a narrow 6-5 margin on corner kicks.
  • Southwestern held Dallas to no shot attempts in both overtime periods.

NOTABLES

  • This was the third time in SCAC Women's Soccer Tournament history that a match has been decided on penalty kicks.
  • Southwestern has played in two of those three games and has advanced on both occasions. Additionally, both of those matchces were played on the campus of the team Southwestern defeated. The Pirates defeated Texas Lutheran in 2013 on PKs when the Bulldogs were the tournament host. 
  • The 13 saves by Dallas' Naccari is tied for the third-most in a SCAC Women's Soccer Tournament game.
