
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Trinity (Texas)
University (15-0-1, 10-0) has a firm hold on the No. 3 spot in this
week’s National Soccer Coaches Association
(NSCAA)/Continental Tire Division III Top 25 women’s poll.
Trinity also secured the No. 5 position in the D3soccer.com Top 25
women’s poll for the second week in a row and the No. 1 rank
for the West Regional NSCAA poll for the eighth consecutive
week.
Trinity extended its winning streak to 13 games with a win over
nationally-ranked Our Lady of the Lake University (NAIA), and a
pair of SCAC road wins at Centenary and Austin College this
weekend.
The Tigers opened the weekend with a 9-0 win over Centenary, then
capped the weekend with a 7-0 shutout over Austin College. On
Monday, Trinity recorded a 4-0 shutout over NAIA’s
21st-ranked team in OLLU, finishing off the Trinity’s regular
season home schedule.
The Tigers continue SCAC play this weekend with games at Texas
Lutheran and Schreiner. Trinity won 7-0 over TLU and 10-0 against
Schreiner in San Antonio earlier this season.
