
NATALIE SLADE OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior goalkeeper from Concord, Mass., has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 7 through Sunday, March 13. (Women's Lacrosse Weekly Release - Week 4)
Slade posted a 7.47 goals-against average and a .556 saves percentage while leading Colorado College to a 3-0 record last week. She stopped 11 shots as the Tigers overcame an early 3-0 deficit to defeat RPI, 11-8. During Wednesday;s 15-8 victory over RIT, the junior goalkeeper stopped nine shots, including four in the second half when CC did not allow a goal during the final 29 minutes and outscored RIT, 7-0. In Friday's 17-10 over Baldwin Wallace, Slade did not allow a goal while playing only the first eight minutes.
Slade lowered her season GAA to 10.53 and improved her saves percentage to .495.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year midfielder Sierra Rupp of Southwestern had nine ground balls, five caused turnovers and nine draw controls, helping her team go 2-0 for the week.
