EVA KING OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior attack hitter from Baltimore, Md., has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 17 through Sunday, February 23.
King scored four goals and set up four more to lead Colorado College to back-to-back victories over a pair of NCAA Tournament teams in the first two games of the season. In Friday’s 9-8 win at Rhodes College, King scored once and set up two other scores.
During Saturday’s 15-12 victory over Illinois Wesleyan University, King scored three goals and dished out a pair of assists during the first half to lead Colorado College to a 15-12 victory over Illinois Wesleyan University in a key West Region match-up in Memphis.
CC’s All-American produced four points during a 9-2 barrage that gave the Tigers a 10-4 lead with 2:28 remaining in the first half. With five points in the game, King climbed into a tie for fifth place on the program’s career list with Kelli Kessler (1997-00), who finished her career with 221.
