ELLIE MEYER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior midfielder from Park City, Utah, has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 25th through Sunday, March 31st.
Meyer was a force in all phases of the game last week as No. 22 Colorado College recorded four victories in seven days. Her efforts helped the Tigers improve to 11-0 and record three wins against West Region opponents at or near the top of their respective conference. In the defensive zone, Meyer caused 12 turnovers and picked up nine ground balls. She also grabbed five draw controls in the midfield.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior goalie Mckenna Zinke of Southwestern allowed just two goals and posted a .846 save percentage to help lead the Pirates to a 16-2 victory against Willamette last Tuesday.
