MASON COSGROVE OF DALLAS, a senior midfielder from Las Cruces, N.M., has been named the SCAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 15th through Sunday, April 21st.
Cosgrove was instrumental in helping the Crusaders split a pair of games last week and secure the No. 3 seed heading into the SCAC Tournament. Cosgrove collected eight ground balls, won seven draw controls and caused four turnovers on the week. In the win over Johnson & Wales, the senior finished the night with four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior midfielder Lauren Pejza of Colorado College recorded five ground balls, four caused turnovers and four draw controls while helping CC earn a split in its two games last week on the East Coast.
