LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- It was a packed week in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Lacrosse with three of the four teams in action and six games on the schedule.

Colorado College (3-2) posted a 1-2 record last week with losses to Wesleyan and Ithaca before closing out the week with a 13-1 win over Plymouth State. Despite giving up the first goal, CC rattled off 13-straight markers for the 12-goal victory. Eva King and Allie Thuet each recorded five points in the Tigers’ win on Saturday. King finished with four goals and one assist, while Thuet produced two goals and three assists.

Southwestern (4-3) split a pair of games last week, defeating Carthage on Tuesday, 19-17, before falling to Wittenberg, 13-10, on Wednesday. Grace Maynard was outstanding in the win, ringing up five goals and adding two assists for seven total points. Deanna Hames added four goals, including the game-winner and added an assist for five total points. Sofia Valdespino and Tessa Lewis combined to make nine saves in the cage for the Pirates in the win over Carthage.

Dallas (1-4) dropped its lone contest of the week, falling to Berry, 19-7, last Wednesday. Emily Pauletti scored three goals in the loss.

Following a meeting of the league's President's Council, and in response to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) has made the decision to indefinitely suspend all regular season conference and non-conference competition effective Monday, March 16.

SCAC leadership will engage in discussions with the NCAA about any and all implications of a suspension in conference competition; specifically, the league will request support for an extra year for all spring sport student-athletes whose seasons were just canceled.
