KIMBERLY BURCH OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a first-year from Dublin, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition from Wednesday, April 6 through Tuesday, April 12. SCAC Golf Release (Spring - Week 8)
Burch fired an opening round 74 (+2) to take the Day One individual clubhouse lead at the UMHB/Lady Crusader Invitational but slipped back to an 81 on Tuesday to finish at 155 (+11) and in fourth place. Her opening round 74 was the lowest round in program history, besting the mark she established this fall (75) at the Tempest Intercollegiate.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Abigail Hayes of Centenary recorded the Ladies’ best finish at the MUW Invitational as she shot a 36-over par 180 to place 17th. She recorded her 12th top-25 career finish and has now done so in nine of her last 10 tournaments.Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
