ALEJANDRA SANCHEZ DE LA FUENTE MOLINO OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Marbella, Spain, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played from Wednesday, Septembere 29 through Tuesday, October 12. SCAC Golf Release (Week 3) 

De la Fuente Molino finished at a two-day total of 146 after rounds of 76 and 70 to take medalist honors and lead Trinity to the team title at the Alamo City Classic, contested on Monday and Tuesday at the Tigers' home course The Quarry Golf Club in San Antonio.

De la Fuente Molino led the field in pars with 28 and her final round 70 (-1) allowed her to overtake Dallas' Kimberly Burch and her teammate Caterina Mora, who had posted opening day 75s to establish an early lead. She was the only golfer in the 34-person field with a subpar round the entire tournament.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
First-year Kimberly Burch of Dallas had two excellent tournaments over the past two weeks, posting a third-place finish at the LeTourneau/Tempest Intercollegiate and a runner-up finish at the Alamo City Classic. She held a share of the lead after day one at the Alamo City Classic, and finished with a 72 on Tuesday to post the second-lowest round of the tournament. Junior Madison Miller of Southwestern posted a top 10 finish at the Alamo City Classic, charting rounds of 79 and 78 to finish at 157 (+15) and a tie for ninth. Senior Abigail Hayes of Centenary shot rounds of 81 and 87 to finish at 168, good enough for a tie for 24th place in the 46-player field, at last week's Rhodes Colelge Classic. First-year Lauren AlFaro of Schreiner bounced back from an opening round 97 to post an 83 on day two and finish at 180 (+38) at the Alamo City Classic.
