LEILANI MCDANIEL OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Austin, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week for competition played through February 26th.
McDaniel helped the Pirates to a second-place team finish in the Linda Lowery Invitational this past week. Southwestern finished with a total score of 701, five strokes behind Concordia Texas.
She placed second among individuals by scoring 81-82-163 (+11) at the River Place Country Club with two birdies and the junior had the most pars of anyone in the field with 17.

Senior Shannon Orlopp of Centenary led the team with a 188 (88-100) for a two round score of 44 over par and a 20th place individual finish at the Tyler JC Spring Invitational. Junior Shundiin Kauffman of Johnson & Wales shot a two-day total of 290 to finish 24th individually at the Linda Lowrey Invitational.
