Kaycee Bankert, Schreiner University, Women's Golf - Golfer of the Week (Week 1)

KAYCEE BANKERT OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Missouri City, Texas, is named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played through Tuesday, February 17, 2015.

Bankert earned a second place finish at the Linda Lowery Invitational after posting an overall score of 174 in unpleasant conditions. This finish marks Bankert's career-best, passing her fourth place finish at this same event in 2014.

Bankert finished the first round in a tie for third place, posting an 89 on the day. Tuesday, Bankert improved her position by firing off an 85, moving into second place. She was just two shots behind the individual winner, while the Mountaineers came in with a team-score of 712, one shot shy of the top spot.
