CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - First-year Alejandra Sanchez De la Fuente Molino of No. 14 Trinity University Women's Golf was officially recognized as an All-America honorable mention by the Women's Golf Coaches Association Tuesday due to her seventh-place finish at the 2022 NCAA III Women's Golf Championships in Houston earlier this month.

The Tiger rookie bullied her way up the individual charts over the final two rounds with two of her best three sets of 18 holes for the entire season. Her third-round 72 (E) was her third-lowest on the year, and was a warning for those that cleared the cut line as her final-round 69 (-3) rocketed her into the top-ten to qualify for All-America status and claimed the best round of any Trinity women's golfer for the 2021-22 campaign.

For the season, Sanchez De la Fuente Molino finished eighth or better in six of eight tournaments including her first collegiate victory at Trinity's Alamo City Classic on October 12: the site of her other under-par round on the season (70). The All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference first-teamer average 77.16 shots per round over 19 rounds of play this season.

No. 14 Trinity Women's Golf made the NCAA III national championship for the first time in program history in 2022, under the direction of former Tiger standout and first-year Head Coach Shelby DeVore. The 2022 Alamo City Classic is slated for October 10-11 at the Quarry Golf Club in San Antonio, with the remainder of the fall schedule to be determined.
