LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Centenary College Ladies were the only Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's golf team in action as they competed in the Louisiana College Fall Invitational.
Ladies junior golfer Jessica Varner captured her third collegiate – and her second consecutive – victory at the tournament, leading Centenary to a second place finish.
In winning the tournament, Varner won the last two collegiate competitions she has played in (2017 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in the spring). She also carded a college career best two-round total of 148 (+4).
Second after the first day, the Ladies held firm and finished with a 699 (+123) total, 34 strokes behind LeTourneau. Rounding out the women’s field was Howard Payne (+188, 764) and Hendrix (+389, 965).
