Schreiner's Bankert Named to WGCA All-West Region Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Senior Kaycee Bankert of the Schreiner women's golf team was named to the All-West Region team by the Women's Golf Coaches Association. It is the second consecutive year that she has earned the honor.

Bankert finished her year with a 79.25 scoring average, including at win at the West Region Invitational last month at Berry Creek CC in Georgetown. It was her third individual title in the past two years.

She concluded her career with a runner-up finish at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament three weeks ago at Vaaler Creek GC in Blanco.  She is the program's first three-time First Team All-SCAC performer as well.

Bankert's scoring average this year was second best in the program's history, only bettered by her junior year scoring average of 77.94. She graduates with the top career scoring average in program history at 81.16 and holds many of the individual records as well.
