MICAH WEAVER OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior guard from Poth, Texas, has been selected as the SCAC Player-of-the-Week for games played from January 29th through February 4th.
Weaver led the 20th-ranked Tiger women's team to a pair of SCAC home wins over the weekend, defeating both Texas Lutheran and Southwestern.
Weaver averaged 26.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 3.0 steals per game over the two wins. She nearly hit a triple-double in Saturday's win over the Pirates, scoring 27 points to go with eight rebounds and eight assists.
Weaver shot 61.3% (19-31) from the field, 56.3% (9-16) from three-point range, and knocked down all five of her free throw attempts.
Weaver currently leads the SCAC in points per game at 19.5 and is second in the league in field goal percentage at 51.1 percent.
The Tigers also clinched a spot in the SCAC Basketball Championship after this weekend's wins.

Junior forward Bryce Frank of Austin College had double-doubles in both of Austin College's wins over the weekend, averaging 17.5 points and 15.0 rebounds-per-game as the 'Roos topped Colorado College and Dallas. Frank shot 52% from the field and 90% from the free throw line, and added 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. Junior guard Casey Torbet of Colorado College recorded team highs with 14 points and a career-best nine rebounds on Friday at Austin College. With her team-leading five assists against the 'Roos, Torbet climbed into a tie with Beth Branson (1981-85) for 15th place on the program's career chart. Freshman forward Kayla King of Centenary College had a monster game for her first double-double on Friday night against Dallas. Sophomore forward Kendra Brown of Schreiner University averaged 15 points in the 'Neers two weekend games. Junior forward Tori Carraway of Southwestern University averaged 21 points and 12.5 rebounds in her play in two of three of the Pirates' games. Freshman forward Abby Hroch of Texas Lutheran University posted 36 points in this week's three contests.
