GREENWOOD, Ind. - Senior center/forward Hailey Coleman of No. 17/18 Trinity University Women's Basketball was named to her first Academic All-District 8 team Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

The 2021‐22 CoSIDA Academic All‐District Women's Basketball Team recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Coleman advances to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America ballot; honorees will be announced in mid‐March.

While excelling in her role as the Tigers' dominant low-post presence, leading her team in field goal percentage (62.1), rebounds per game (8.1) and blocks per game (1.7), Coleman has amassed a 3.58 grade-point average majoring in Communications.

A two-time Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week and SCAC Character & Community selection this season, the senior has collected three 20-point games two of which came in her four double-doubles. Her effort on the defensive end this season has propelled her to eighth all-time at Trinity with 96 career blocks.

The Tigers (22-2, 15-0 SCAC) have clinched the 2021-22 regular-season title and are one victory away from the sixth undefeated regular season in league play in SCAC history, the second for the Trinity program (2012-13).

The 2021-22 regular season concludes Sunday as Trinity will battle University of Dallas in Irving, Texas at 3 p.m. The 2022 SCAC Championship will be held February 25-27 on the campus of Austin College.
