LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The women's basketball season kept rolling through the holiday break with the new year also marking the beginning of conference play.
Austin College (7-4) sits atop the standings after earning their first conference win of the season over the University of Dallas (3-6). Texas Lutheran University (5-7) dropped a game to LeTourneau earlier in the week, but rallied to beat Southwestern University (3-9) to open SCAC play.
Centenary College (6-6) and Colorado College (2-11) split a pair of weekend contests to sit at 1-1 in conference play. Trinity University (9-2) holds the best overall record after going 1-1 on the week. The Tigers will open conference play against Colorado College on Friday. Schreiner University (2-8) won their lone game of the week against Concordia (Tex.).
