JACKSON, Miss. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Western Division advanced three teams to the league semifinals of the SCAC tournament while only one Eastern Division team made it to the semifinals. Hendrix, Southwestern, DePauw and Trinity will square off for a trip to the championship game on the line on Feb. 26.

SCAC Quarterfinal Game One Recap

Hendrix junior guard Samantha Devlin led all scorers with 21 points to go along with five rebounds and two assists as the Warriors knocked off Oglethorpe University 80-57 in today's first game of the SCAC Tournament.

The Warriors used a 45 to 24 rebounding edge to advance to their second s Petrels traight SCAC semi-final round. Senior Christina Byler added 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals as four Warriors were in double figures on the afternoon.

Katie Weeks paced the Stormy Petrels with 11 points and three rebounds in the losing effort. Oglethorpe closes out the season with a 6-10.

Hendrix improves to 16-10 on the season and will face the winner of #2 east seed Centre and #3 west seed Southwestern tomorrow at 1 p.m. CT from the Hanger Dome on the campus of Millsaps College. Box Score | Post-Game Interviews

SCAC Quarterfinal Game Two Recap

Southwestern used a lights our performance from beyond the arc, 11-for-22, one three point made FG shy of tying the SCAC Tournament record for made 3s in a game to defeat Centre 84-70 in the second women's quarterfinal match-up of the day.

Katelyn Bartell, Shae Seagraves and Reilly Robinson each scored 20 points for the Pirates who shoot 43.9 percent (25-for-57) from the field. Seagraves also chipped in with eight rebounds a steal and an assist. Southwestern took 25 trips to the free throw line connecting on 23 of them including 19-for-21 in the second half.

Maggie Prewitt led the Colonels in a losing effort with 21 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Centre, who had advanced to last year’s championship game, falls to 17-9 on the year with the loss.

With the win, Southwestern improves to 17-9 on the season and a semi-final match-up with Hendrix. In the regular season Hendrix defeated Southwestern twice most recently back on February 4th 75-59. Box Score | Post-Game Interviews

SCAC Quarterfinal Game Three Recap

DePauw out rebounded Colorado College 45-28 including 17 offensive boards helping lead to a 67-42 victory Friday evening from the Hanger Dome on the campus of Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.

Senior Katie Matthews of DePauw poured in 20 points to lead all scorers and junior Katie Aldrich chipped in with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the DU Tigers. DePauw closed out the last five minutes of the first half and continued the momentum second with a 20-5 run over Colorado College to open up the contest.

Colorado College held DePauw to just 1-for-12 from beyond the arc but it was the offensive rebounding that hurt the CC Tigers. Senior Alyssa Aldaz paced Colorado College with 10 points and three rebound in her final game for the CC Tigers. With the loss Colorado College closes out their season with a record of 11-15.

In their final year in the SCAC DePauw has now advanced to 10 straight tournament semi-final games. The win improves the DU Tigers record to 23-3 and will face off in the second women's semi-final game tomorrow against the winner of tonight's Rhodes Trinity match-up. SCAC Quarterfinal Game Four Recap

Trinity pressured Rhodes all night long forcing the Lynx into 23 turnovers helping lead the way to a 85-51 victory tonight from the Hanger Dome on the campus of Millsaps College.

Abby Dietert posted a game high 16 points, connecting on 7-for-10 shooting to go along with eight rebounds for the TU Tigers. Defensively Trinity forced turnovers all night long and help Rhodes to just 29.5% from the field.

Junior guard Sharwil Bell of Rhodes dropped 14 points to compliment nine rebounds in the losing effort. With the loss Rhodes closes out its season with an overall record of 9-16.

Trinity advances to tomorrow's semi-final round to square off against DePauw. This will mark the 6th meeting against the two teams in the SCAC Tournament with Trinity holding the 3-2 advantage. The TU Tigers are now 14-12 entering tomorrow's contest. Box Score | Post-Game Interviews
