LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Four of the league’s eight softball teams were in action last week, posting a cumulative record of 2-8 in non-conference contests.

Schreiner (3-7, 0-0) returned to the diamond and earned its first win since the opening weekend of the season after splitting a twin bill against Concordia. In the 3-2 win, Alyssa Maki collected two hits, drove in two runs and scored a run to lead the Mountaineers to victory.

Centenary (1-6, 0-0) collected its first win of the season last Sunday against Westminster, 4-1. At the plate, Cassie Gonzales led the way with two hits, one RBI and one run scored, while Hannah Scoggin got the win in the circle after pitching a complete game, scattering seven hits and striking out one.

Dallas (3-5, 0-0) fell to 3-5 after dropping a pair of contests to both Huntingdon and Mount St. Joseph last weekend, while Texas Lutheran (3-3, 0-0) was swept by Houston-Victoria in the Bulldogs only action of the week.

SCAC Softball action continues this week, highlighted by the opening of conference play when TLU visits Southwestern (6-0, 0-0) for a four-game set on Friday and Saturday .
