Texas Lutheran and Southwestern Advance to SCAC Softball Semifinals

SHREVEPORT, La. – The top-seeded Texas Lutheran Bulldogs and the seconded-seeded Southwestern Pirates, both advanced to play in tomorrow’s semifinal winner’s bracket game of the 2019 SCAC Softball Championship Tournament. Official Championship Website | Bracket | Tournament Stats

It is the third consecutive year the two have advanced to the winner's bracket semifinal game and the semifinal appearance marks the sixth-straight for TLU.

SCHREINER 7, TRINITY 2
Fourth-seeded Schreiner blasted a pair of solo home runs in the bottom half of the first inning and jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two and went on to defeat fifth-seeded Trinity, 7-2, in the opening game of the 2019 SCAC Softball Tournament. Recap


CENTENARY 1, DALLAS 0
Third-seeded Centenary College plated the lone run of the game in the bottom half of the seventh inning to defeat sixth-seeded Dallas, 1-0, in walk-off fashion in game two of the 2019 SCAC Softball Tournament. Recap


TEXAS LUTHERAN 10, SCHREINER 2 (5)
After spotting Schreiner an early run, Texas Lutheran scored runs in each of the first three innings and ended the game with five in the bottom of the fifth to earn a 10-2 victory in Friday winner's bracket play of the 2019 SCAC Softball Championship. Recap
