Andrea Vangoss Resigns as Austin College Head Softball Coach

SHERMAN, Texas – Andrea Vangoss has resigned as the head softball coach at Austin College, athletics director David Norman has announced. Vangoss spent four seasons with the Kangaroos.

Over her four years at Austin College, Vangoss compiled a coaching record of 53-96, including a program record 18 wins during the 2014 season. The 'Roo softball team advanced to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament three times during her tenure in Sherman.

"We wish Andrea the best as she moves into the next chapter of her coaching career," said Norman. "We appreciate her dedication and efforts in leading the Kangaroo softball program." 

An extensive national search will begin immediately for a new Kangaroo softball coach.

Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
