
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - DePauw University
(26-7-1), Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference champions, will
represent the SCAC in the 2011 NCAA Division III Softball
Championship field of 60 teams. The Tigers, who were chosen as a
top-seed traveling to the Adrian Regional, will open up the NCAA
tournament against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference

The Tigers are making its fifth-straight NCAA appearance after
advancing to the NCAA Finals a season ago posting an overall record
of 40-9 tying a school and conference record for wins in a season.
It marked the second time in four years DePauw won its regional
advancing to the NCAA Finals.
Joining DePauw and D'Youville in the eight team Regional are #2 seed Alma College (MIAA 33-6), #3 seed Baldwin-Wallace College (OAC 27-9), #4 seed Trine University (MIAA 27-11), #5 seed Ohio Northern University (OAC 26-12), #6 seed Bethany College (PAC 29-14) and finally the #7 seed Hiram College (NCAC 25-12).
The tournament is scheduled to start at 10:00 am on May 12 with the championship set for May 15 at 2:00 pm with an if necessary game at 10:00 am on May 16. Every game from the tournament will be streamed live with audio and video on Adrian's website. Adrian Regional Web site
