SCAC Men's Cross Country Recap - Week One

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - All seven of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference cross country teams opened their 2017 campaigns this past weekend.

Austin College and the University of Dallas competed against each other and other Texas schools at the UT-Tyler King Campbell Spectacular. UD's Joseph Kimer placed fifth in the two-mile race and was the first Crusader to cross the finish line. AC's freshman Johnny Biffar logged a time of 11:06.0 and was the top AC finisher, placing tenth overall.

Colorado College placed fourth out of five teams at the Colorado/Colorado Springs Rust Buster meet, an 8k course.

Southwestern placed first and second at the Pirate Invitational against Concordia University. Pirates' Josh Im was the first to cross the finish line in the 5K race with a time of 17:03.41.

Trinity took the top six places in the Alamo City Invite against TLU. Elliot Black took first place overall in the 5K race with a time of 15:52.2. TLU's sibling pair Caleb and Rudy Calderon took 16 and 17 place respectively.

Schreiner placed seventh of seven teams at the Bill Libby Invitational 5K race.
