ADRIAN WASHINGTON OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior from McKinney, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 8 through Sunday, April 14. SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 7
Washington elevated over the field as the highest-placing Division III athlete this weekend at the SFA Carl Kight Invite. The senior finished fourth overall in the high jump with a program record-setting jump of 2.07 meters (6' 9 1/2"), which places him first in the SCAC and tied for fourth nationally in the event.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
First-year Parker Cabra of Texas Lutheran set a personal-best in the high jump at the Warhawk Invite on Saturday and his jump of 2.00 meters (6'6 3/4") is currently second in the SCAC and 23rd on the national list. Parker also ran a personal-best of 15.05 in the 110 hurdles, which currently places him third in the SCAC.
