TAYLOR PISKE
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Richardson,
Texas, has been selected the SCAC Track Athlete-of-the-Week for
meets through Sunday, February 23rd.
Piske opened the outdoor season with a strong
showing at the Trinity Open on Saturday afternoon.
Piske took first in the 10,000 meter run in
the home meet, reaching the finish line in a personal best time of
32:29.70, which was less than a second from Trinity's best time
from in the event from a year ago.
Piske finished second at last fall's SCAC
Cross Country Championships, leading the Tigers to their second
consecutive conference title. Piske also earned All-Region
honors by finishing 22nd at the South/Southeast Regional
Championship.
