JACKSON BRAINERD OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore from Littleton, Colo., has been named the SCAC Men’s Track Athlete-of-the-Week for all meets from Monday, April 5 through Sunday, April 11.
Brainerd placed seventh in the 1500 meter run with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:56.60 (with the altitude conversion this equates to a time of 3:50.97 - only .37 seconds off the automatic qualifying time of 3:50.60).
With his converted time Brainerd currently ranks first in the conference and second in the nation.
