HUNTER BAJOIT OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior from The Woodlands, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches player from Monday, March 8 through Sunday, March 14.
Bajoit picked up a win (6-1, 6-3) over NCAA Division I Prairie View A&M's Juan Viada in No. 2 singles in his lone match of the week.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Alessio Azzalini of Trinity led the Tigers into individual play Friday with a 6-0, 6-1 victory in line-one action at Texas Lutheran in Trinity's SCAC-opening match. The sophomore then stood toe-to-toe with 2019 All-CUSA selection Jacob Eskeland of NCAA I Rice University in No. 1 singles action Saturday before his match went unfinished tied 3-3 in the second set. Junior Juanrodrigo Lopez of St. Thomas picked up a victory over LeTourneau's Julian Lee at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-4, on Friday.
